When is it time to consider changing your hot water cylinder?
Running out of hot water is not only due to a small cylinder it can also be performing inefficiently. Hot in the morning but cold in the afternoon and having to reboot the boiler or immersion to heat the water again can be signs that the cylinder is aged and not insulated correctly. Modern cylinders now come factory insulated and are far more efficient than the older non insulated cylinders which are insulated with lagging jackets, which are never as good as a factory insulated cylinder.
Replacing this cylinder is far more cost effective than spending extra money for months on end on un-necessary inflated heating bills.
